Spring time grilling

It's getting closer to summer, nice weather (although a little hot and humid here today in SC), and a great time to be outside grilling up some tasty food.

Tonight was
Burgers: Grass-fed/pastured beef from a local farm. Mixed in some smoked paprika, onion powder, and mesquite seasoning (garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, coriander, black pepper, lemon peel, orange peel, and chipotle). Rubbed a little macadamia nut oil on them to help prevent sticking.

Grilled asparagus rubbed in olive oil

Purple sweet potato: cut lengthwise into 1/4-1/2 inch slices. Coated in coconut oil.

Nothing tastes like actually cooking on a grill.
I ate the burger with my favorite mustard (Eden Foods organic yellow mustard) and some butter lettuce. I love asparagus: steamed, sauteed, baked, but grilled has got to be the best.
This was the first time I'd grilled purple sweet potatoes. They were excellent. I put cinnamon on some of them, which is always good, and I tried some of the mesquite seasoning on them too which was surprisingly delicious. You can also use the sweet potato slices as a bun (which I tried, without the mustard), super tasty.
